My children can speak English very well as compared to my wife and I

Wow this is something brilliant!
How they become like that?
They go to the school, where there are mixed culture, Indian, Arabic, Mexican, English and so on, but until now, we do not know whether there is any Malaysian there. My kids speak English with their friends, teachers as well as my wife and I, even though me and my wife speak malay but they reply in English. What a shock.
Here is my assumption based on my observation. They spend most of the time at school where they need to socialize and speak in English. Once they arrive at home, they tell us their story about what they have done for the whole day, in English. I think it’s because they are comfortable to tell us the story in English, because they use the language most of the time at school rather than speak Malay at home with us. In short, they speak English more than Malay for one day.
When they feel bored, they watch tv, cartoons.. where all the programs in tv are in English. Then, once again, they watch, listen, and communicate (I mean there are 2 way communication programs like CBBies channel, they communicate with the audience) with the tv programs in English. Then, once the programs end, and when they spend some times with my wife and I, they once again, speak the language. These are all because the influence of the environment where they live. They spend a lot of time, listen and watch English program…..
As a result, they are comfortable to speak English more than Malay. In fact, when they wake up in the early morning, or when they wake up at night, the first language that come out of their mouth is English. Oh my…… whether this is a positive or negative, I am not sure….
